Hood River Skate Park

The concrete obstacles will be able to withstand the elements of the Gorge and will prove to be a great addition to the community.

Once completed, it is estimated that the structures will use almost 15 tons of rebar, 800 yards of concrete, 14,000 tons of base rock, 25,000 square feet of concrete, and hundreds of hours of labor.

This "first class" Skate Park's complete price tag will be well over $400,000.  Phase I work was recently completed on a 3000 square foot street course at the NE section of the Park.

Additional phases include 9000 square feet of concrete moving immediately west of the street course in Phase II, with Phase III to be another 8000 square feet near the existing bowl.  The final Phase will include play structures and other 'traditional' park amenities.
