Open Swim: During open swim the shallow and deep ends of the recreation pool and the therapy pool are open to all swimmers. Children 7 years or younger must be accompanied in the Aquatic Center by an adult or responsible supervisor at least 13 years old. 

 

Lap Swim: Lap swim is open to anyone 15 years and older who wishes to swim for fitness. Competitive swimmers under 15 may obtain approval from the Aquatic Manager. Kickboards, a pace clock, pull buoys, and swim fins are available for lap swimmers only.

 

Therapy Pool: The therapy pool is heated to approximately 93 degrees and provides an excellent resource for therapeutic exercise. Closely supervised children may accompany an adult into the water in a  3:1 ratio during adult times. This means with in an arms reach of adult.  

 

Water Aerobics: Water aerobic classes offer a great workout without the impact and stress on your joints caused by other types of exercise. Classes are free with paid pool admission.

 

Kayaking: Open kayaking times are available at the pool. Bring your own equipment and come early, as space is limited to 25 boats. Contact Gorge Paddling at (541) 386-9343 for information about lessons and rentals.

 

Wade Pool: The wade pool is a zero entry to 1 1/2 foot deep pool for parents and children under 6 years of age. Toys are provided for use inside of the wade pool area. Swim diapers are required for those not potty trained.

 

*Friday Night Family Swims: From 6:30 pm to close every Friday night join us for KIHR dollar open swims. All ages are welcome; $1 per swimmer.
