RegistrationRegistration is currently in progress for swim lessons. You can register in person at the Aquatic Center or you can print out the registration form and mail it with your payment. Please read the class descriptions and prerequisites on this page for proper class placement.
The fee for evening swim lessons is $30 for six evening lessons, 30 minute classes. For $36, your child can swim before or after swim lessons. For $42, one parent and the child can swim before or after swim lessons.
Morning swim lessons fee is $40 for eight lessons. Lessons plus is $46, swimming for child before or after swim lessons. For $52, one parent and the child can swim before or after swim lessons. Payment for any option is due at the time of registration.

Ages 6 months - 5 yearsThis class is designed to introduce children to the water with the help of their parents. Stressing the fun of being in the water, this class involves exploring the water through games and play. Contact the Aquatic Center for registration information.
This class is for children who have no experience in the water or who are hesitant about water. Taught without a parent, it will encourage children to become comfortable in the water. Pre-Level 1 swim skills are taught.

This class is for children who are comfortable being in water but need to develop basic skills such as: bubble blowing, submerging the face and head, supported front and back float, breathing, and kicking.
Level 1 1/2:
Children to enter this class must have independent front and back floats and be comfortable in the water. Glides off the wall to an instructor unassisted. Kick with swim aid while putting face in the water. Hope to coordinate leg and arm actions of front and back for 5-10 yards. Development of breathing skills and water safety.
This class covers skills such as: submerging head for 5-10 sends, retrieving objects from shallow water, independent front and back floats, and independent flutter kick 15 yards (front and back). Coordinated arm and leg action on front and back, introduction to rotary breathing. This class is taught in the Therapy pool with introduction to Recreation pool.
This class covers skills such as: front crawl, backstroke, retrieving objects from bottom, and jumping into deep water. It meet in the shallow end of the Recreation pool. Extending swim length to 25 meters and use of fin and other swim aids.
This class continues to work with swimmers on the front and back crawl, introduces the breaststroke, elementary backstroke and sidestroke. Works on treading water, rotary breathing, dolphin kick, and diving.
This class covers skills such as: elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, turns at the wall, and continued work on front crawl and backstroke. Swimming full laps, understanding what are competition strokes. Continued work with deep water bobs, treading water, and safety skills.
This class covers skills such as: dolphin kick, alternate side breathing, introduction to butterfly, distance swimming, refinement of front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke.
